Rise Above The Noise: New Distribution Models

The word 'distribution' can have several connotations to the filmmaker, some good and some...not so much.

Join in the conversation with a diverse panel including Page Ostrow Founder, President Ostrow and Company, who has arranged financing and or negotiated distribution for over 125 feature films and numerous documentaries. By 2000 Ostrow had worked for more than ten years successfully providing distributors with global sales support, licensing and global pre-sales financing for their film projects and libraries to international buyers at all the film markets. In addition to functioning as the producers' representative Page Ostrow holds Executive-producing and Co-producing credits on such films as "Heavens Fall" a film about the famous Scottsboro trial starring Timothy Hutton and David Stathairn to be released in 2006 and "Stolen Childhoods" with Meryl Streep theatrically released in 2005.

Also participating on the panel will be David Kleiler of Local Sightings who has over 30 years of experience in the independent film industry as an exhibitor, professor, collaborator/producer and consultant and Mica Scalin who since moving to New York in 2003 has worked extensively in television and film, development and production and is one of the principals behind DVblog.org.
