|  | In 2006, in the spirit of continuing this wave of geeked edge excitement, and with the burgeoning filmmaking opportunities on the internet, WHFF will be host to DVBLOG.org's Mica Scalin who will both present and have a videoblog training session called VBLOGGIN YER NOGGIN. Under the guidance of Festival Managing Director J.C. Bouvier, Woods Hole Film Festival began to look at the changing face of the technology of filmmaking with Tech Day in 2003. Over the years, Tech Day evolved from a day in which the New Technologies of the 21st Century were introduced and exhibited to our leading edge discussion known as "XWHAVES". Panels and presentations at the 2005 WHFF co-produced by the filmmakers the Berube Brothers of Noisybrain.com, and producer/digital artist and filmmaker Jon Goldman of the Thought Balloon Productions/ GoldmanArts.com. "XWHAVES was a fascinating and engaging presentation into the rapid convergence of digital storytelling and media on the web," said Andrew Silver, one of WHFF's participating filmmakers. "It was by far one of the most exciting parts of the 2005 Festival," says Silver. "The ability for the filmmaker to reach a massive audience has changed the face of distribution forever. Before the video ipod, our Film Festival was there with people like Steve Garfield, who before the panel session had ended, had posted a vblog of the event," says J.C.Bouvier.
