With his new CD, Fuller (formerly of the
Peter Wolf Band and Entrain) brings us some great new roots/bluegrass
music that will quickly become modern standards. His original
music and his great band are a modern day version of Jerry Garcia and
Dave Grisman's Old and In the Way. If you knew the words, you
would surely be singing along.

So, who is The
POPGUN SEVEN?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sometimes,
when people ask us 'what do we sound like' we say: roots pop reggae.
Then, after they stop furrowing their
brows or grinding their teeth, we sheepishly say 'Sorry'.
So what do we sound like? Our first
advice would be to download some mp3 files from the download
area on www.thepopgunseven.com,
because we've found that here in the 21st century meaning is meaningless.
Though people have said to us:
"Pop Rock Reggae with a harmony
Soul swingy type fun beat"
--formerly disinterested man, standing on corner after overhearing soundcheck
"Ska, Rocksteady, dance party music,"
--lovers, in love
"Old timey harmony music, swinging
balcony type, beach party, dance pop..."
--Dizzy D
"...and they don't sound the same
song to song,"
--sweaty dance type who had a good time
We tell the press folks that The Popgun
Seven is a horn-fueled roots pop reggae band made up of ska band ex-patriots,
escaped soul convicts and assorted rock refugees, who came together
in May 1997. Six months later they released their first collection of
songs, a DIY introductory eponymous EP, to rave reviews.
The Popgun Seven is focused on creating
music of, by and for the people we meet. Doing what they love, shooting
from the hip and singing from the heart.
