J.C. Bouvier
J.C. Bouvier is a familiar face in Woods Hole, serving the Woods Hole Film Festival for the past 10 years under various hats, including Managing Director. J.C. is also no stranger to the film festival world at large, having cut his arts administration teeth under Nicole Guilleumet at the Sundance Film Festival in the mid-nineties. He has traveled extensively in film post-production circles working for leading editing software and hardware companies like Media 100, BorisFX, EditShare and Avid Technology. He is currently employed by the International Fund for Animal Welfare where he oversees their social marketing strategy and can be reached via his website at jcbouvier.com or via twitter @jcbouvier.


Mark Chester
Mark Chester has been a professional photographer since 1972. His photographs and/or feature stories have been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and The Christian Science Monitor, among others. Chester’s book, No in America, is a collection of tongue-in-cheek photographs of no signs. He was the photographer for Charles Kuralt’s book, Dateline America, and his photographs are in permanent collections in the Baltimore, Brooklyn, Corcoran, Denver, Portland, and San Francisco Museums, among others. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Chester is a Copley Artist member, and teaches at the Falmouth Artists Guild. His newest book is Twosomes (www.twosomes.net.) His freelance column, “In My Mind’s Eye” is published by Gatehouse Media newspapers on the Cape including the Falmouth Bulletin.

Jane Clark
Jane is in post-production on her feature directorial debut, Meth Head, starring Lukas Haas, Necar Zadegan, Wilson Cruz and Blake Berris. In 2010, she produced the feature film, Elena Undone, for writer/director Nicole Conn (Little Man, Claire of the Moon). Jane wrote and directed her seventh short, Beyond Words, for producer Pete Maggi (Merchant of Venice, Irresistible, Head in the Clouds). The film won the Illuminate Award in 2009. For each of her prior films, Jane was the producer, writer, director and editor. Her short film The Touch, was featured in more than 30 festivals and aired on HERE TV. Carrie’s Choice, which was made with the support of Planned Parenthood – LA was a finalist in the USA Film Festival.

Jon Goldman
Jon Goldman is an award-winning filmmaker, animator and media artist. Since training at MIT’s Center For Advanced Visual Studies in the 1980s where he received his Masters, Jon has produced documentaries and an Emmy-nominated short form animation for organizations such as Al Jazeera International, WGBHLAB BOSTON, and the Discovery Channel. For Al Jazeera he produced Wilma’s Warning profiling a MacArthur-award winning environmental justice advocate and the Katrina/RITA storm surge covering its role in high toxicity in the gulf region. His current film, OIL IN THE FAMILY, follows Goldman as he unearths his own deep Louisiana roots and his family’s connection to the oil industry. In interviews (both pre and post Gulf Spill), through his own animation and through his grandmother’s connection to the controversial film “Louisiana Story” he discovers the real costs of progress on the people and the land of his great grandfather.

Erich Horgan
Erich is a research associate at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the President of Biological Sampling Systems, Inc., and oceanographic device maker based in North Falmouth, MA.


Judy Laster, Vice President, Co-treasurer
Judy is a policy attorney and the founder/director of the Woods Hole Film Festival, as well as a filmmaker. She has been the Executive Director of the Festival for the past twenty years, leading it's growth into the next generation and beyond.

Sandy Missakian
Sandy brings over 14 years of entertainment experience in finance, production, business development and business affairs. She provides management consultant and/or legal services to a variety of companies and individuals, including film funds, high net worth individuals, production companies, multi-platinum recording artists, talent management companies, multi-media companies and even an all natural juice brand distributed in over 4000+ stores nationwide. In addition, Sandy has been producing and structuring financing for independent films through her Golden Child Pictures banner.


James Murray, President, Co-Treasurer
Jim Murray and his wife Gwyn have operated The Nimrod Restaurant & Jazz Lounge in Falmouth on Cape Cod, since 1995. Jim previously served as Executive Chef for over a decade at the Waterfront Dining Room in Woods Hole and as banquet chef at The Longfellow’s Wayside Inn, Boston Post Road, Sudbury. Jim is also a talented musician and has been a member of the Raw Honey band since the mid 1970’s.
Anne O’Brien
Anne is the Director of Development for the Woods Hole Film Festival. She is a writer and photographer with years experience as an analyst, writer and photographer for Boston and New York based organizations. As the Director of Development, Anne oversees planning, proposal writing and reporting and photography for the Woods Hole Film Festival.


Beth Murphy
Beth Murphy is the founder of Principle Pictures, a Boston-based company dedicated to making documentary films that educate, inform and inspire. Beth has led production crews to all corners of the world, often in war-torn or developing countries in order to focus on human rights and international issues.
Currently, she is directing/producing The Promise of Freedom (supported by ITVS, The Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund and Chicken and Egg Pictures), a film about America’s moral responsibility to its Iraqi allies. She is also directing What Tomorrow Brings (supported by Cinereach and the LEF Foundation), a documentary about the war of ideas in the struggle to educate Afghanistan’s next generation of girls.
Jean-Paul Ouellette
J.P. is a Boston-based screenwriter and director.

Richard Paradise
Richard is the founder and director of the Martha’s Vineyard Film Society and the Martha’s Vineyard International Film Festival.
